September 30, 2011… the day we closed on our new home.
October 10, 2011… the day we began the remodel on our new home (we is really my husband & his team of contractors, friends and family).
October 26, 2011… the date of my last post.
127… the number of days we’ve been working on your new home.
11… the days left until we move.
When we started this project, I had NO idea how it would completely turn my life up-side-down. I’m not sure when, but at some point it all became too much… driving the kids to school, making lunches, dinners, returning emails, meeting clients, processing images, doing the laundry (oh the laundry!), the endless trips to Home Depot, the paint store and ON and ON. Something had to give. I didn’t want to give up anything (isn’t that the typical struggle of the mom, the wife, the business owner?) I decided the blog had to be put on the back burner. I really didn’t want to. But this is real life and I am only one person. I had to stop and focus on my top priorities… the care of my children & husband, the project and my clients.
Well friends, I am happy to say I can see the light at the end of the remodel tunnel and I am PUMPED! The blog still on the back burner, but the heat is ON! I’ve been stock piling all kinds of goodies that I dying to share with you… engagement sessions, a trip to Cali, a couple weddings, a year in review, a magazine feature and LOADS more .
And, yes, I’ve been documenting this remodel project and I be will sharing some before and after photos with y’all.
Smiles,
Saleina
