I had been waiting for this day since September. I instantly clicked with Taylor and her mom, Debbie, when we met and I knew it was going to be a great day. I connected with their love of the Lord, their mother-daughter bond, their desire to put family first, how they believe in face time instead of screen time, their DIY sensibility, Taylor’s down to earth fashion sense and least I forget to mention their fast talking, high energy personalities. I couldn’t adored them more.
The day had finally came and went and as I walked from the resort to my car my heart felt full. Once I got to my car, I sent my husband this text, “On my way, such an amazing day!” I sat the phone down, closed my eyes and wept a few tears of gratitude. I thanked the Lord for allowing me the honor of witnessing this day, the privilege of seeing His grace transcend the emotional roll coaster of a wedding day, and for a glimpse into how these families love and support each other. When I got home, I couldn’t help but gush to about this amazing day. I shared with my family the amazing amount of work (which started over a year ago) that Taylor and Thomas put into this day. I also shared with them I how touching it was to see all the time and energy their families put into making sure this day came off without a hitch. Some things are just too good to not share.
T&T… I’m so grateful that your search for a wedding photographer lead you to me. I’ve enjoyed every moment of getting to know you and working with you. You are beautiful. Your families are beautiful. Your wedding was beautiful. I’m looking forward to reconnecting with you two when you return from your adventure in Texas. Taylor included some awesome sentiments in her day and I would be remiss if I didn’t tell you about them… Her sister & brother in law were married six years ago on the exact same day, Taylor’s darling earrings belonged to her great grandmother, the flower in Taylor’s hair was plucked straight off of her mother’s wedding dress.
