Jana & Nate | Engagement Session {Downtown Tacoma | Wedding Photographer}

Nate and Jana are two of the sweetest, most tender, loving people you’ll ever meet.  I think you’ll agree that there is a very special tenderness in the way that they look at each other…it makes my heart melt.  I felt so fortunate to be able capture their gentle and loving spirits.  I am really looking forward to capturing it all over again at their wedding.

Jana & Nate, I had a wonderful time exploring downtown Tacoma with the two of you.  I loved hearing about the special places and memories you’ve made in this area.  It was really a treat to spend this time with you. I hope you enjoy your engagement images. ~ Saleina

Awww…  These images were taken on some abandoned railroad tracks & in front of the “Mattress Factory” building on the University of Washington, Tacoma campus where Jana attended college.

 LOVE the ivy.  Love the sweetness.

Nate’s favorite coffee shop (on the UW, Tacoma campus…of course) and one of my favorite pictures of the day.

The Tacoma waterfront/downtown area is a must see.  The Union Station is hands down one of my favorite buildings in the area.  Sadly, we couldn’t do much shooting there because of a wedding (fancy that).  No worries, there is SO much to see starting with all stunning Chihuly glass on display in the park.  According to Nate, the cone shaped building is the  Museum of Glass and it is built in the shape of the ovens they fire the glass in…who knew?.We were wrapping up the session, when I said something I often say, “We’ve got some great stuff here…  is there anything else you want to do before we call it a wrap?”  That is when Nate chimed in, “How about that phone booth?  When was the last time you even saw a phone booth?”  So Nate:  this one’s for you!  Thanks for the great, fun idea!
