Today, I woke up to the aroma of freshly brewed coffee… it was heavenly. And like so many days before, there sat my best friend with my morning cup of coffee. His smile was a little bigger than normal today and I know why. With one sleepy eyed glance up, my heart is filled with joy and gratitude for this amazing man that sits beside me. I know we’ve both been waiting for this day.
It was on this day ten years ago, I walked down the aisle and into arms of my high school sweetheart and best friend. On that perfect day so many years ago, it never occurred to me that ten years later I’d find myself even more in love with him. Yet somehow God has grown my heart and I am even more smitten than I ever thought possible.
This pile of stuff represents US. It’s our wedding invitation, programs from favorite games, the flowers we had at our wedding (I received ten fresh ones this morning), mementos from our honeymoon in Greece, years of little notes left on the counter for yours truly. Each year the box grows and each year I find I fall even more in love with the amazing man that makes my life possible. I am truly blessed to be loved by you, Happy anniversary, Honey!
